Graphic Design II offers the student the opportunity to study the fundamentals of computer assisted graphic design and create vector art using Adobe Illustrator CS Software. The course consists of exercises and projects that allow the student to explore the world of graphic art.

  • Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to:
  • Demonstrate the use of Adobe Illustrator tools and menus.

Use computer hardware and Adobe Illustrator software to design vector graphics used in page layouts, publications and multimedia

Project assignments will be based on:

  • Industry standards for craftsmanship and presentation.
  • Creativity and originality of design, when applicable.
  • Compliance with written and oral instructions.

Materials:
Students will need a Jump/Flash Drive . It is also recommended that they have a folder. Students will be required to present a portfolio at the end of the class term.

Corrections:
Students have the option of correcting any text exercise. If they choose to make corrections, they must return them stapled on top of the original project the day they were given back to the student. Late corrections will not be accepted.

Computer Lab:
The lab is open for students to come in and catch up on their work every morning at 6:45 am and during the lunch period.
