This course introduces the production of an interactive web site. Students are instructed in the processes required to produce a web site. Software used is Macromedia Dreamweaver. Upon completion of this course, the student will have the basic skills to design, develop and maintain a web site.
Using a computer, Dreamweaver and Photoshop software, and Web browsers, the student will complete the following according to the procedures and criteria outlined by the instructor, textbook and handouts.
- Create a Web page resume.
- Create a simple Web site that demonstrated the use of tables.
- Define a goal, determine the target market, develop the program methodology, outline and flowchart for a Web site.
Through a series of exercises, create a simple Web site according to assignment specifications that demonstrates how to:
- create images,
- buttons,
- headlines and backgrounds,
- manipulate digital images using filters and image editing tools,
- save images in the appropriate format,
- create and use animated .gifs
